Training at Quote Unquote, Inc.

Step 1: Orientation (2nd & 4th Weds. of each month)

Step 2: Learn How To Produce Videos in our Production Classes. Studio Production will teach you to produce A Live and/or Pre-recorded TV Show using our Equipment and Facilities. Field Production will teach you to shoot footage in the field and edit using Imovie.

Step 3: Get Additional Training in postproduction with Final Cut Pro, Motion, Pro Tools Audio recording, and Greenscreening in our Studio.

Studio and Field Production Classes includes a 1 year membership fee

Enrolling in either studio or field classes will give you a one year membership as a public access producer so that you can use our equipment and facilities to produce videos for our channel(s).

If you feel you are qualified to produce without taking our classes, contact the Media Education Coordinator and ask about testing out. If you are able to test out of either class, then you will have to pay the $65 annual membership fee.

Studio

We train students on how to produce a Live Por pre-recorded Studio Production here inat our studios. Students learn how to use the studio cameras, overhead lighting, grid, the Overture1 video switcher, and d studio audio boards. Students will also learn about the different crew positions used for Television Productions. The class will produce a live studio show entitled "City Views".  "City Views" is hosted by staff and crewed by the students to give them the experience and confidence to do their own shows.

This Studio Production Class usually meets on Mondays for FIVE WEEKS from 6-9 pm. Classes are sometimes scheduled on other days, depending on interest, and if there are enough students to fill a class.

Price: $75.00. Discount given if student chooses to pay for both field AND studio . Non-profit group training rate: $120.00 for 4 people. Special group training can be scheduled for a minimun of 8 people.

Field

Students will be trained to operate the Panasonic DVX 100 video cameras, use the light kits for 3 Point Lighting, Storyboards, Composition, Scripting tools and techniques. The last session covers editing with Imovie, a user friendly Macintosh video editing program.

This class meets Tuesdays for five sessions, once per week from 6-9 pm.

Price: $75.00. Discount given if student chooses to pay for both field AND studio . Non-profit group training rate: $120.00 for 4 people. Special group training can be scheduled for a minimun of 8 people.
